Beth Armstrong

Club Director

Mrs. Armstrong has more than 25 years of healthcare and golf industry experience. She has worked for such notable organizations as Cedars Sinai Cancer Center in Los Angeles, Northridge Medical Center in Northridge, California, and Promontory in Park City, Utah. She recently served as Director of Development for the Intermountain Healthcare Foundation and as the Membership Director for Promontory for 12 years. Beth was instrumental in the success of the Promontory Foundation, which she founded in 2006. Beth serves on many boards including the American Hospital Association, the National Association of Free Clinics, the Park City Board of Adjustments, the Children’s Justice Center and the Executive Council of the Utah Symphony/Utah Orchestra. Beth also serves on the Literacy Project board and recently served on the board of the Park City Chamber of Commerce, KPCW Radio and was Vice Chair of Park City Public Arts Advisory Board. Beth received her BS in Accounting from McNeese State University and MBA from the University of New Orleans. She has resided with her husband, Roger, in Park City, Utah for more than 17 years, enjoying the town’s world-class skiing, hiking, biking, and golf. Beth brings a commitment to excellence, infectious energy, and love of community to her Marcella.

Ryan Kartchner

Director of Golf Operations

Ryan’s journey to become one of the most respected Professionals in the country, began in the Salt Lake County’s golf system while he attended University of Utah. Ryan has been the Director of Golf at Hidden Valley Country Club and Promontory Golf Club in Park City. Ryan recently served as the President of the Utah Section PGA and represents the 380 Professionals in Utah. Ryan worked closely with the national office and leadership of the PGA of America and is involved with the governance and the Direction of the PGA. Ryan takes pride in his representation of those Professionals and his home facility on a national level. Ryan joined Elevated (a Reef Division) in 2021 and currently oversees all golf operation programs at Black Desert Resort and Cutalong at Lake Anna.

Ross Laubscher

Director of Agronomy

Ross Laubscher joined the Elevated (a Reef Division) team in August of 2021. Over the last 15 years he has worked at Medinah Country Club in Chicago, IL and with Troon Golf at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club in Saint George, UT as an Agronomist. He also spent time in Las Vegas, NV at Anthem Country Club. A graduate of Iowa State University, Ross prepared Medinah’s Course 3 for the 2012 Ryder Cup and has worked closely with golf course architects Tom Doak, David McLay Kidd, Rees Jones, and now Tom Weiskopf on multiple renovation and construction projects. Ross currently oversees the agronomy programs at Black Desert Resort and Cutalong at Lake Anna.

Jeff Spangler

Managing Partner

Jeff is a founding partner of Elevated (a Reef Division) and has been a serial entrepreneur most of his life, having had the pleasure of being involved in multiple successful businesses from the ownership and operation levels. These businesses and ventures have spanned the industries of: sales and marketing organizations; single- and multi-family homes and commercial real estate; banking and lending; oil and gas; and golf course operations and development. He has been lucky to participate in growing some of these to very high levels of success including accomplishments like #43 on Inc. 5,000’s fastest growing businesses, being recognized as one of Utah’s fastest growing businesses several years in a row, and voted one of Utah’s best places to work multiple years in a row. Aside from business and investing, Jeff is also very active outside the office space. He’s a loving father and enjoys spending time with his wife and family golfing, skiing, snowboarding, boating, traveling, and supporting his kids in their own activities. Jeff is a member at Hidden Valley Country Club and his passion for golf and travel have influenced him and those experiences are a huge part of why he is excited to be so involved on Black Desert Resort, Cutalong at Lake Anna, and now Marcella Club.
